“Simulation” Confirmed: How the cut throat competition for the best, most effective AI has pillaged our free will and made us all into assholes and idiots.
Whoever has the tech controls the world, right? And the race has been on for a while, now. War waged through the minds of the people is the absolute best weapon, especially of most people don’t even know that it’s happening. If they get our hearts and minds and twist us around the right way, anything is possible. Any society can potentially be destabilized. We, as humans, generally believe in just causes, and I think they took advantage of that. I think that’s what @elonmusk meant to show us — suddenly, about ten or so years ago, EVERYONE felt indignant and right. People truly were trained to believe that their side is the right side and all other sides are wrong — not to compromise and work out their shit, anymore. Jesus Christ, how did we not see this sooner?
AI is everything, and its true value and worth has been hidden from us for a long ass time. I would imagine that those who tried to put up any sort of resistance to what the dominant and dangerously effective AI tech could do to our free will, to our economies, to our geopolitical situations, to our global belief systems, to our personalities and especially our politics, all of these without our knowledge, were swiftly remanded to the sidelines.
It’s becoming pretty clear that all the extremism we were being peddled potentially didn’t exist at all — at the beginning. Think about it. In my own life, I watched people I loved and liked — people who were previously intelligent, free thinking, rational, kind human beings — turn into unnaturally extremist automatons with a visceral hatred for all opposing viewpoints because of the shit they were seeing online. It broke my heart. I felt like nobody wanted to hear the words rational, logical, compromise, etc. anymore. And I couldn’t understand why it was happening — like all of a sudden the national and global consciousness changed like a switch being flipped. Were there always extremes? Yes, but not like this. EVERYONE became extreme. And now, I get it. I’m for sale. You’re for sale. Our minds and hearts have been sitting on the auction block while we walk around with blindfolds on buying up their shit and swallowing their rhetoric.
Imagine all that incendiary chaos in our world over the last few decades likely started as sentiment bots spreading toxic or contradictory information, and we absorbed it like good little sponges. We took it on and started playing identity politics instead of using our fucking heads and learning to compromise and communicate to achieve a better tomorrow for everyone.
And when one guy made a good AI, the other assholes at the top had to compete. They can break down the entire global dialogue by deploying an invisible shove towards whatever end they want.
It explains so much — most of us are reasonable and kind — or we started that way. Most of us are moderate and logical — or we started that way. Most of us didn’t give a single fuck about what side you were on before…Before the tech started changing how we saw each other, how we spoke and wrote to each other, how we hated so hard without any real cause.
The rules of their game are very clear to me, suddenly — they have the edge in every way, and whoever has the best AI to manipulate public sentiment and decision-making wins. You don’t talk about fight club, right? They knew it was wrong, and like most things done for money and power, they did it, anyway. At some point, I think maybe this development got so far out of hand that the only way we could fight back was to target their AI and fuck it all up for them. And that, my frends, is exactly what I think happened. I think somehow, we finally turned the tables — we either broke the AI or made one that PROTECTS people’s freedoms instead of stealing those freedoms and selling them for money. It’s the most logical thing in the world. And it’s so boring and shitty, I could cry.
Anyway, thanks to the people who stood up and spoke out. Thanks to the ones who pulled the REVERSE card. Because of you, we have a chance to fix this, now. Everyone else, please wake up. Open your eyes.
